About Experian

What is Experian?

Experian is a global data, analytics and technology company that, in its own words, is "powering opportunities for people and businesses around the world." It operates across financial services, healthcare, automotive, agribusiness, insurance and many other markets, using a unique combination of data, analytics and software to redefine lending, uncover and prevent fraud, simplify healthcare and help millions of people reach their financial goals. A FTSE 100 company listed on the London Stock Exchange (EXPN) with corporate headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, Experian describes its purpose as to "unlock the power of data and technology to improve our world."

Where will I work?

Experian employs a global team of roughly 22,500–25,200 people across 32 countries, with major hubs including Costa Mesa, California (US) and Nottingham, London and Glasgow (UK), alongside large operations in Brazil (Serasa Experian) and India. Working style depends on the role and region. In the US, roles offer "a flexible work environment, ability to work remote, hybrid or in-office," with many engineering and sales positions fully remote. In the UK, most roles are hybrid — one current Nottingham engineering posting specifies "2 days a week in the Nottingham Office."

What is the Experian team like?

Experian describes a "people first, inclusive and purpose driven culture" where employees are encouraged to "bring their whole self to work." The company says it focuses on "what matters; DEI, work/life balance, development, authenticity, collaboration, wellness, reward & recognition, volunteering." Teams work in modern, cross-functional environments — engineers collaborate across Engineering, Product and Data Science using agile practices and cloud-native stacks (AWS, Java, Python) in a culture "built on learning, accountability, and continuous improvement." Internal growth is backed by a global leadership programme (NextGen Forum) and an AI-driven performance coach.

Work-Life Balance

Time off is generous and flexible. US employees get "flexible time off including volunteer time off, vacation, sick and 12-paid holidays." UK employees receive "25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days" and can "purchase additional annual leave." Volunteering is built into the model in both regions, and Experian highlights work/life balance and wellness as core to its people agenda. This focus is externally recognised: Experian was named one of the 2025 Fortune World's Best Workplaces by Fortune and Great Place to Work, ranking No. 14 for the second consecutive year.

Perks and Benefits

Experian offers a "great compensation package" with bonus/variable-pay opportunities. Core benefits in the US include "medical, dental, vision, and matching 401K." In the UK, core benefits include "pension, bupa healthcare, sharesave scheme and more," giving employees a route to share ownership. Across regions, employees get flexible/hybrid working, paid volunteering days, and an emphasis on mental-health and wellbeing support.
