What is Naked Wines?
Naked Wines is a wine club that connects wine lovers (its "Angels") directly with independent winemakers to bring world-class wines at fair prices. Founded in the UK in 2008, Naked Wines launched in the US and Australia by 2012 and today connects 867,000+ Angels to 670 winemakers across 24 countries. In the UK alone, Naked ships over 1 million cases per year and is "one of the UK's favourite wine clubs."
The model is designed to cut out traditional retail intermediaries — Naked invests directly in winemakers' cellars, lets them sell their entire production, and passes the savings to customers. The result is a virtuous cycle: better wine, fairer prices, and sustainable livelihoods for independent producers. Stories of supported winemakers include Katie Jones (rescued by 2,500 Angels after vandals struck her south-of-France winery) and Carmen Stevens (South Africa's first Black female winemaking graduate, with her life turned around in 5 hours by 2,000 Angels). Naked is a Real Living Wage employer.
Where will I work?
Naked Wines runs five global offices: Norwich UK (Norvic House, 29-33 Chapelfield Road, NR2 1RP), London UK (Fora, 81 Rivington Street, EC2A 3AY), Sonoma California (355 4th St E), Denver Colorado (511 16th St Mall), and Manly NSW Australia (18 Sydney Road). Hybrid is the norm in the UK, with creative offices "complete with a fully stocked bar and a pool table" alongside space to focus, connect, and celebrate. Remote-friendly options vary by role; reduced-hours arrangements are offered for those seeking better work-life integration. Standard full-time week is 40 hours.
What is the Naked Wines team like?
The global team is ~240 people based mainly in Norwich and London, with colleagues in Sonoma, Denver, and Manly. Five "Naked behaviours" guide work: Ambition (dream big), Judgement (make good decisions), Discipline (adhere to high standards), Influence (have a big impact), and Accountability (take full responsibility). The Naked values complement: "Naked Together," embrace growth, start with customers and winemakers, keep it simple and data-led, do the right thing.
The team values transparency and learning on the job — Wine Advisors and Customer Happiness pros build relationships with the Angel community, while annual Tasting Tours bring customers face-to-face with winemakers.
Work-Life Balance
Naked Wines embraces hybrid and flexible working across UK hubs and global offices, with reduced-hours arrangements available for many roles. JDs publish exact rates: e.g. £13.45/hour for the Customer Happiness Advisor (a Real Living Wage rate) and £600/day Outside-IR35 for Ecommerce Change Manager Contract roles. The team takes 26 days holiday plus UK bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell days, and an extra week of honeymoon leave for newlyweds.
