About Macmillan Cancer Support
What is Macmillan Cancer Support?
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the UK's largest cancer charities, dedicated to supporting everyone affected by cancer. Founded over a century ago, Macmillan provides specialist healthcare, information, financial assistance and emotional support throughout the cancer journey — from diagnosis through treatment and beyond — and partners with the NHS to improve cancer care.
Where will I work?
Hybrid. Most roles are split between home and a Macmillan office (the London office is the main hub), typically around one day a week in the office, and Macmillan states it is open to a conversation about how this works for each role.
What is the Macmillan team like?
Around 2,000 staff across fundraising and partnerships, engagement, services, finance and operations, people and culture, technology and central functions.
Work-Life Balance
Macmillan's benefits page states staff can "compress your full-time hours (34.5 hours) into 4 days instead of 5", and every job description adds: "Full time (34.5 hours) – we are open to a conversation about how you work these hours." The compressed-week arrangement is an opt-in flexible-working option, role-dependent.
