About Lunii
What is Lunii?
Lunii is a French company that designs screen-free audio experiences for children. Its flagship product, "Ma Fabrique à Histoires", is an award-winning interactive audio box that lets 3–8-year-olds build and listen to their own stories; FLAM is its audio player for 7–11-year-olds. Through Éditions Lunii, the company produces original French-language audio content recorded with professional actors and children's authors.
Founded in 2014 by Maëlle Chassard, Lunii crowdfunded its first device in 2015 and sold 20,000 units within four months of its 2016 launch. It moved manufacturing back to France (the Basque Country) in 2020 with the "Origine France Garantie" label, and by 2024 its devices were used by close to two million children.
Where will I work?
Lunii is based in central Paris, working from a coworking space at Patchwork, with hybrid and remote flexibility (see below).
What is the Lunii team like?
A team of roughly 90–120 people across product, engineering (Flutter & front-end), design, editorial/content, marketing, sales and finance. Lunii emphasises an inclusive, structured hiring process (a shared scorecard so every candidate is assessed on the same criteria, focusing on skills over pedigree).
Work-Life Balance
Since 1 April 2024 Lunii has run a company-wide 4-day week, with Fridays off, at full salary — introduced to engage and retain its teams. It is paired with up to two days of remote work per week and the option to work fully remotely for three weeks a year.
