About Lunii
What is Lunii?
Lunii makes screen-free interactive audio for children. In its own words (all of Lunii's careers content is published in French): "Chez Lunii, nous créons des expériences audio interactives qui accompagnent les parents dans l'apprentissage de leurs enfants car nous nous soucions des générations futures" — "we create interactive audio experiences that support parents in their children's learning, because we care about future generations." Its two flagship products are Ma Fabrique à Histoires, the story box that lets children assemble and record their own stories, and FLAM, an interactive audio player for older children. Lunii tells its history in chapters: a 2012 final-year project by Maëlle, joined by "trois amis : Igor, Eric, et Thomas"; a prize for the first prototype in 2014; a 2015 crowdfunding campaign that hit its 40,000 EUR target; and a 2016 retail launch that sold "20.000 Fabriques à Histoires" in four months. In 2020 Lunii moved manufacturing from China to France, near Bayonne, earning the "Origine France Garantie" label in July 2021. Éditions Lunii, the in-house publishing arm, records original French children's audio with professional actors. By 2024 the company counted "près de deux million d'enfants" — close to two million children — in France.
Where will I work?
In Paris. Every live role is listed as hybrid at "LUNII Paris," and the postings are precise about what that means: "Télétravail : 2 jours de présence hebdomadaire obligatoire dans nos locaux dans le 3ème arrondissement de Paris" — two mandatory days a week in Lunii's own offices near Réaumur-Sébastopol, with the balance remote. One internship listing is blunt: "travail hybride (pas de full remote)" — no fully remote option.
What is the Lunii team like?
Small enough that every function is visible: tech, product and design, brand, sales, finance and legal, production and supply, and Éditions Lunii's editorial team. Hiring is deliberately structured: "Nous suivons une trame structurée avec une scorecard partagée afin que chaque candidat·e soit évalué·e sur les mêmes critères" — a shared scorecard so everyone is judged on the same criteria, because what interests Lunii is "les compétences humaines et professionnelles de nos futurs Lunii's, pas le nom de leur école": skills, not the name of your school. Work-Life Balance
"Depuis le 1er avril 2024, nous expérimentons la semaine en 4 jours, avec le vendredi off, pour repenser notre rapport au temps et à la productivité" — since 1 April 2024 Lunii has been trialling a four-day week with Fridays off, "to rethink our relationship with time and productivity." Every live posting repeats it. Lunii frames it as one strand of a wider commitment "à garantir l'égalité professionnelle, la parentalité et des conditions de travail flexibles (semaine en 4 jours, télétravail)." Contracts are "CDI - Cadre - Forfait jours à temps plein." Lunii does not publish a holiday entitlement or a statement about pay under the four-day trial.
