What is ZA?
ZA is the umbrella brand of two Düsseldorf organisations run by and for dentists: ZA-Zahnärztliche Abrechnungsgenossenschaft eG, a cooperative that, according to its about page, was founded in 1988 by seven dentists ("Sie wurde bereits 1988 von sieben Zahnärzten gegründet"), and its subsidiary ZA Zahnärztliche Abrechnungsgesellschaft Düsseldorf AG, which runs the factoring business. The home page sums up the offer as "Factoring, Fortbildung, Beratung und Abrechnung – von Zahnärzten für Zahnärzte" (English: factoring, training, consulting and billing, by dentists for dentists). Customers are dental, orthodontic and oral-surgery practices across Germany. The imprint names the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) as the supervisor for factoring and says the AG is registered for debt-collection services with the Federal Office of Justice. This is a regulated financial-services employer, so expect roles in IT, product, operations, sales and compliance rather than dentistry.
Where will I work?
Both companies share the address Werftstr. 21, 40549 Düsseldorf. On 6 November 2026 the Personio board listed eight adverts: five under "ZA (NRW)", meaning North Rhine-Westphalia and the Düsseldorf office, and three marked remote, among them a field-sales role covering Germany and a dental billing assistant role advertised as "Düsseldorf oder deutschlandweit mobil" (English: Düsseldorf or mobile across Germany). The benefits page lists "Hybrides Arbeiten & Flexibilität" (English: hybrid working and flexibility) and mobile working, and the adverts say you can work remotely. The number of office days is not stated, so ask in the interview. All three flexitime adverts are listed under ZA (NRW) in Germany.
What is the ZA team like?
The adverts open with "Sei Rakete – die Zukunft beginnt mit dir!" (English: be a rocket, the future starts with you) and describe a cooperative, family-style mid-sized company. The values page calls the shared values its "ZAitgeist" and mentions colleagues who have been there "seit Gründung vor 35 Jahren im Unternehmen" (English: since the founding 35 years ago). The careers page says "Über 70 unserer Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter haben ihre Erfahrungen bereits auf Kununu geteilt" (English: more than 70 employees have shared their experience on Kununu). Every job at the AG belongs to a skills cluster such as IT, marketing or sales, with its own pay bands, and two adverts state the band, for example "zwischen 42.000 € und 65.000 € brutto" (English: between EUR 42,000 and EUR 65,000 gross) for the IT service role. The vacancies include IT service operations, a product owner for the factoring platform, and two roles for a new in-group debt-collection company: "Mit unserer neuen Tochtergesellschaft bauen wir ein eigenes Inkassounternehmen innerhalb der ZA-Gruppe auf." (English: with our new subsidiary we are building our own debt-collection company within the ZA group).
Work-Life Balance
The company-wide benefits page, which covers both ZA AG and ZA eG, lists a "Flexibles Gleitzeitmodell" (English: flexible flexitime model) together with mobile working, a part-time or full-time model depending on your life situation, and 30 days of vacation on a five-day week. Three adverts, for IT service management, receivables management and product ownership, repeat the wording: "Genieße 6 Wochen Urlaub, Gleitzeit sowie die Möglichkeit, mobil zu arbeiten." (English: enjoy 6 weeks of vacation, flexitime and the option to work remotely). No core-hours window is published, and the AG adverts do not state weekly hours. The ZA eG adverts describe a "39-Stunden-Woche" (English: 39-hour week) with mobile working and the same 30 days. The adverts that carry the flexitime line are all AG roles, so confirm which entity employs you.
