The City of Rosemead is the municipal government of Rosemead, California — a San Gabriel Valley city of about 51,000, incorporated in 1959. It punches far above its weight as a corporate address: Edison International and Southern California Edison are headquartered here (2,722 local jobs, the city's largest employer), as is Panda Restaurant Group, the parent of Panda Express. The city is also home to University of the West, one of the first Buddhist universities in the United States, and the Savannah Pioneer Cemetery — reputedly the oldest Protestant cemetery in Los Angeles County, with its first burial in 1846.
