What is Midvale City?
Midvale City is the municipal government of Midvale, Utah — a Salt Lake County city of about 36,000 at the geographic centre of the Salt Lake Valley (the name means exactly that: mid-vale), incorporated in 1909 with the Jordan River on its western border. Its historic Main Street district has appeared in The Sandlot and Halloween 4, and its modern story is one of reinvention: Bingham Junction, a former smelter Superfund site, was delisted by the EPA in 2006 as a "success story" and now hosts the headquarters of Overstock, CHG Healthcare and Zagg. Midvale is also one of the few Utah cities with two TRAX light-rail lines and three stations.
