  • Perform individual therapy sessions using the Solution Focused Therapy modality.  Create treatment plans and establish goals and interventions using evidenced based practices for clients experiencing psychosocial stressors and other maladaptive thoughts and behaviors.  Ensure all clinical documentation is inputted into the electronical medical record and discharge recommendations are provided once therapy services conclude.
  • Complete court ordered screenings in accordance with Arizona statute guidelines (A.A.C. Title 9, chapter 20, article 1 & 2) with adult defendants on diversion or probation who are mandated to do court ordered counseling for misdemeanor charges.  Screenings require the counselor to administer and interpret a clinical assessment tool (such as the MAST, SASSI, Mortimer Filkens, etc) to determine appropriate treatment and refer clients to approved treatment agencies to complete counseling within the categories of substance abuse, domestic violence, anger management, and mental health.
  • Facilitate youth diversion programs by completing intake assessments with juvenile offenders and their parents to ascertain appropriate diversion requirements and interventions that target the incorrigible behaviors.  Run therapeutic youth groups using cognitive behavioral therapy principles to promote behavior modification and conduct follow up appointments to determine compliance satisfaction.
