Profile Overview
We are looking for a present, assertive and detail-oriented personality as Managing Director (m/f/d) for SaaS.group GmbH, our German group company based in Schönefeld. In this role, you will take on the operational responsibility on site as a registered managing director and exercise real decision-making authority. You will oversee office organization as well as ongoing bookkeeping and keep finance and administration reliably on track. You will be the face of the company on site for authorities, tax offices, banks, auditors and external service providers, while working closely with our central legal, accounting and finance teams.
This role offers a unique opportunity for experienced professionals from finance or office management in the Berlin/Brandenburg region who want to take their next career step into an official corporate and leadership function within an international, fast-growing software group.
Your Contribution in the First 3–6 Months:
- Seamless assumption of the position as registered managing director of SaaS.group GmbH and establishment of effective organizational processes in the Schönefeld office.
- Taking over full oversight of local bookkeeping (accounts payable, accounts receivable, document management) and optimizing the preparation of monthly closings.
- Building close working relationships with our external tax advisors, auditors, banks as well as our internal Group Accounting and Legal teams.
- Ensuring full compliance with all corporate law obligations, commercial register matters and internal bylaws.
Your Responsibilities
- Local management of SaaS.group GmbH at the Schönefeld location with full responsibility for approvals, contract signing and payment transactions within the defined bylaws.
- Independent execution and management of ongoing bookkeeping (accounts payable, accounts receivable, document management) as well as preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Close collaboration with tax advisors and auditors on VAT advance returns, annual financial statements and audits.
- Fulfillment of all corporate law requirements under German law (including maintaining the transparency register, preparing shareholder resolutions and commercial register filings).
- Responsibility for on-site office management in Schönefeld (mail handling, service provider contracts, office organization and archiving).
- Central on-site point of contact for the tax office, banks, authorities and insurers.
What You Bring
- A successfully completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g. Tax Accounting Clerk, Certified Bookkeeper, Office Management Clerk) or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of practical experience in bookkeeping, financial administration or in a leading office management role.
- Solid knowledge of DATEV (or comparable accounting software) as well as modern digital tools (MS Office / Google Workspace).
- Fluent German skills as well as good English skills for smooth collaboration within our international group.
- Willingness to take on legal responsibility and liability as a registered managing director (leadership experience is a plus, but not a requirement).
- Residence in the Berlin/Brandenburg region and willingness to be regularly present in the Schönefeld office.
What We Offer
- Real responsibility: A full managing director position with a clear set of bylaws, coverage through D&O insurance and direct collaboration with the Group CFO.
- Freedom and autonomy: We are a high-trust team. You will have plenty of room to solve challenges independently, supported by a strong central team.
- Minimal bureaucracy: We avoid unnecessary meetings and time-consuming paperwork so we can move forward efficiently and sustainably.
- A strong network: You will become part of a community of entrepreneurial-minded SaaS experts who continuously share their knowledge with one another.
- Flexible vacation policy: We want you to be able to recharge regularly.
We are not just offering you a job, but inviting you to help build the world's largest platform of independent SaaS companies together with us.
Does this sound like a challenge that fits you? Feel free to apply even if you do not meet every single criterion. We believe in the power of diversity and fresh perspectives. Your application could be exactly the building block we are still missing!
