About Vibes
What is Vibes?
Vibes is a Chicago mobile marketing company whose platform lets brands plan and run SMS, MMS, RCS, push and Mobile Wallet campaigns. Co-founders Jack Philbin and Alex Campbell "have been friends and entrepreneurial sidekicks since kindergarten." After college they saw the promise of mobile messaging and, "starting from their one-bedroom apartment," built direct connections with over 65 North American mobile carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T. Vibes was founded in 1998. "Major mobile-first brands like Chipotle, Kohl's, Topgolf and Polo Ralph Lauren use Vibes to deliver millions in revenue, with an average 90x ROI on Vibes-powered SMS messaging programs alone," the company says, and its Built In profile adds The Children's Place, KFC and Ulta Beauty to that list. Its products include the Vibes Platform and Vibes Connect, which it calls "The most trusted Tier 1 messaging Aggregator in North America", plus RCS Studio. Vibes routes "billions of messages per month" and holds "one of only four coveted Tier-1 DCA spots for RCS," a channel it expects to replace "Apps and outdated-email for consumer communication." Its mission is to be "the world's most trusted mobile engagement platform that intelligently creates personal and revenue-driving engagement between consumers and the brands they love."
Where will I work?
Vibes is headquartered in Chicago and works hybrid. "Our hybrid policy allows employees to work however they work best," its Built In profile says. "Employees are able to choose when to work from home and when to work in-person at our newly-designed Chicago office." Built In lists typical time on-site as "Flexible". Some roles are remote: of the three current postings (September 2026), the Enterprise Account Executive is "Remote, United States of America" and the Senior Manager, Demand Generation role is "a remote position based in the United States", while the Director of Product Management is "Chicago, IL (Hybrid)". The sales role travels "up to 50% of the time for conferences and in-person meetings" and prefers candidates based in Chicago. One posting notes that Vibes "has been recognized in 2026 as a Built In Best Hybrid Places to Work".
What is the Vibes team like?
Built In lists 140 employees, and LinkedIn puts Vibes at 51-200. The company says it has "one of the longest average employee tenures in the industry" and a "close-knit, fun culture" that "fosters collaboration and innovation". Its six core values are "Respect, honesty, and integrity for all stakeholders", "Relentless focus on the customer", "Create value", "Never be satisfied", "Always be learning" and "Seek accountability and ownership". Co-founders Jack Philbin (CEO) and Alex Campbell (CIO) lead the company alongside a chief people officer, a chief financial officer and a chief technology officer. A marketing manager with nine years at Vibes says it "lives up to its core value, 'Always be Learning' by providing unique learning opportunities for employees", and a VP of data and analytics products calls it "an amazing place to launch and grow my career." Current openings are a Director of Product Management, who will lead the platform toward "a new generation of AI-native product experiences", an Enterprise Account Executive selling to enterprise marketers, and a Senior Manager, Demand Generation, working "as part of a small, nimble team".
Work-Life Balance
Vibes lists "Summer Fridays" among its company benefits, and the Chicago-based Director of Product Management posting names "summer Fridays" and a "Winter Holiday break" in its package. The two remote postings don't mention Summer Fridays, and Vibes doesn't publish which months they run or what hours they cover. Time off is flexible: the careers page offers "Flexible Time Off: Vacation, Wellness days and Bereavement leave are encouraged", and postings list "flexible vacation". The careers page lists "10 Company Holidays + 1 Entire Holiday Week Off", while current postings list 11 or 12 paid holidays. Employees choose when to work from home, and the Vibes Gives Back program adds volunteer time and a charitable match.
