What is Upgrade?
Upgrade is a consumer fintech company founded in 2017 by Renaud Laplanche (previously co-founder and CEO of LendingClub) to help customers "move in the right direction with affordable and responsible financial products." Since launch, Upgrade has "helped over 7.5 million customers access over $42 billion in consumer credit," and the company states it has made over $47 billion of credit available to date. Its product suite spans the Upgrade Card, personal loans, Rewards Checking and savings accounts, auto refinancing and Flex Pay (buy-now-pay-later), all designed around three principles: "Give you responsible options. Keep you on track. And reward you along the way." Upgrade was most recently valued at $7.3 billion.
Where will I work?
Upgrade is headquartered at 275 Battery Street in San Francisco, with additional offices in Phoenix (Service Center), Montréal (Engineering Center), Atlanta and Orange County. Most roles are tied to one of these hubs in a hybrid arrangement, though some commercial roles (such as Flex Pay sales) are posted as US-remote. Open roles span product, engineering, sales, customer success, risk and operations.
