What is Staffbase?
Staffbase is an employee experience software company. Its careers page says it was "Founded in Chemnitz, Germany, in 2014, and still founder-led", and gives 1,500+ customers, 14 million users and 550+ global team members. The About page says its founders launched the world's first employee app on the belief that "the hardest-to-reach employee sets the bar for everyone else". Today the platform covers an intranet, an employee app, email, digital signage and AI tools for internal communications, HR and IT teams, and the careers page notes a 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader placement for intranet packaged solutions.
Where will I work?
The locations page says "Staffbase is headquartered in both Chemnitz, Germany, and New York City", with further offices in Berlin, London, Minneapolis–Saint Paul and Sydney. It describes a hybrid company: "Some roles ask for two office days a week, others have more flexibility", and "Fully remote arrangements are possible in exceptional cases". The careers FAQ adds "Most positions at Staffbase are hybrid, with flexible working time models". The open roles on 2026-10-17 sit in Chemnitz, Berlin, Dresden, New York, London and Toronto, plus one posted as remote within Germany. The London posting names "Wednesdays & Thursdays" as its office days.
What is the Staffbase team like?
The careers page gives three values: We take ownership, When you grow, we all grow, and We truly care. It describes "a culture that prioritizes clarity over harmony", and reports that its own June employee survey placed engagement and peer relationships in the top 15% and 20% of its industry. The customer-facing roles are demanding by their own account: the Senior Customer Success Manager posting says the managers close add-on deals themselves and are "measured on hitting their numbers", and that they work deals in the office alongside the sales team at quarter-end.
Work-Life Balance
The careers page lists "31 vacation days a year. Fully paid Fridays off in August." All 20 open vacancy postings repeat it as "31 vacation days annually (incl. one floating holiday), plus pro rata fully paid Fridays off during August". The Fridays are an August benefit rather than a year-round shorter week, and the postings do not state weekly hours. Staff also get one paid day off per year to support a cause they believe in. An employee quoted on the careers page says the culture "trusts you to work the hours that make sense for your life".
Perks and Benefits
Every employee receives a yearly flex work allowance (EUR 1,560 / USD 1,608 / GBP 1,356 / AUD 2,400) for their individual work setup, and salary packages include a Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP). The FAQ says "Benefits may vary slightly by region". The US postings list a 401(k) plan with company match, health plans including dental and vision, and paid parental leave; the Canadian postings an RRSP plan with company match and the same health cover; the UK postings a company pension with a salary sacrifice option, private medical insurance including dental, and life assurance; the German postings a company pension scheme.
