SmarterDx builds clinical AI for hospital revenue integrity — technology "transforming how health systems use clinical AI to capture the full value of patient care delivered. Built by physician-data scientists and trained on clinically-validated EHR data", as its own job listings describe. Its products (SmarterDenials, SmarterNotes) help hospitals recover revenue lost to documentation gaps and denials. Founded in 2020 in New York by physician-data scientists, it has raised $81M and grown to roughly 400 people — who call themselves "Smartians".

What is the SmarterDx team like?
Backend, platform and ML engineers, security engineers, product managers, client-success and clinical-coding specialists — knowledge work end to end (the clinical roles are revenue-cycle documentation specialists at desks, not patient care). Salary bands are published: backend engineering at $190-230k.
