About SimplePractice
What is SimplePractice?
SimplePractice (SimplePractice, LLC, based in Santa Monica, California) makes practice-management software for health and wellness practitioners. Its careers page describes it as a software company with this mission: "SimplePractice is a high-growth software company on a mission to improve mental healthcare by empowering independent clinicians to thrive". The About page says the company has been "Helping private practices thrive since 2012" and that the platform is "trusted by over 250,000 health and wellness professionals across the U.S". The roles on its board are software-company roles, not clinical or frontline ones: engineering, data and analytics, product, marketing, customer success, legal and risk, finance, sales, operations and people.
Where will I work?
The careers page lists remote-first work: "Work from anywhere in the U.S., and collaborate in person as needed." The board held 31 adverts on 6 November 2026: 25 for US locations and 6 in Mexico City. The six Mexico City adverts carry a privacy notice for "Practicease S.C. (operating locally for SimplePractice)", and four of the six are labelled hybrid in their titles; three of the Mexico adverts also say "You will work with our talented multi-national teams and have opportunities to participate in onsites in both the US and Mexico." One US engineering advert states "This is a remote role". The notices address given in the company terms is "SimplePractice, LLC, c/o Compliance Manager, 520 Broadway #200, Santa Monica, CA 90401".
What is the SimplePractice team like?
The five values on the careers page are We come as we are, We think big, We act with humility, We take simplicity seriously and We are built on trust. The careers page also says "60% of our team members are members of at least one ERG." across nine employee resource groups (Latinx, Pride, MX Pride, Women, BLK, Disability, AAPI, Veterans and Caregivers). The largest groups on the board are Engineering (7 adverts), Marketing (6) and Data and Analytics (5), followed by Product (3), and one or two each in Customer Success, Legal and Risk, Sales, Finance, People and Operations.
Work-Life Balance
The headline policy is on the careers page, under the heading "Summer Fridays": "Enjoy the summer sun with 12 weeks of Friday afternoons off." The same page lists "Flexible paid time off" ("Take time off when you need it.") and "Mid-year and Year-end office closures" ("Recharge and reflect with days off in July and December."). The adverts for all 31 roles, in the US and in Mexico, carry the same summer Fridays line in their benefits. In the US it reads "Flexible Time Off (FTO), wellbeing days, paid holidays, and summer Fridays" and in Mexico "Flexible Time Off (FTO), wellbeing days, Summer Fridays, and Mid-Year and Year-End Reflect & Recharge (Company Holidays), Paid Holidays." The pages do not state the usual weekly hours, so the length of the working week outside the summer is not given, and time off is described as flexible rather than unlimited, with no day counts. For parental leave the careers page's US benefits say "Get up to 16 weeks of fully paid leave to bond with your new family." (the Mexico set says "Take extended time off to bond with your growing family.") and for compassionate leave "Take time away from work to care for a family member." One IT Lead advert describes an on-call rota: "On-call schedule to support our team members during off hours and weekends (1 weekend day every 2 weeks)."
