About Rocket Money
What is Rocket Money?
Rocket Money is the personal finance app — formerly known as Truebill — built to help millions of users take control of their finances. The product helps members track and cancel unwanted subscriptions, build budgets, watch credit, and find savings inside everyday spending. In the company's own words: "Rocket Money's mission is to empower people to live their best financial lives. Rocket Money offers members a unique understanding of their finances and a suite of valuable services that save them time and money — ultimately giving them a leg up on their financial journey."
Rocket Money operates as one of the separate operating subsidiaries of Rocket, LLC alongside Rocket Mortgage, Rocket Loans, Rocket Pro, and Rocket Close. Banking services are provided through nbkc bank, an FDIC member. Parent Rocket Companies, Inc. trades publicly (NYSE: RKT).
Where will I work?
Rocket Money is headquartered just outside Washington, D.C., with additional offices in New York, San Francisco, Miami, and Denver. Some engineering and operations roles are remote-eligible across the U.S. (Pacific time zone is sometimes specified for ops roles). Even with a distributed team, the company prioritises in-person time: "we prioritize gathering 3–4 times a year for team weeks for moments that spark creativity, deepen connections, and remind us of the power of collaboration."
What is the Rocket Money team like?
The team spans Engineering (multiple product lines including Autopilot, Compass, Core, Credit Products, Engagement, Partnerships), Data (Platform, ML, Analytics), Design, Marketing, and Operations. Rocket Money has been recognised as a top workplace by The Washington Post (2025, 2022), USA Today (2025), Built In Bay Area (Best Places to Work 2021), and Deloitte (2021 Technology Fast 500). Team-member testimonials on the careers page emphasise the "figure it out / can do" attitude and the chance to "impact millions of users while learning constantly."
Work-Life Balance
Rocket Money offers Unlimited PTO alongside paid parental leave. The hybrid model lets distributed team members work from any of five offices or remotely while still gathering 3–4 times a year for company-wide team weeks.
