What is Redpanda?
Redpanda builds high-performance data infrastructure for real-time and AI workloads. Its core product, Redpanda Streaming, is a Kafka-compatible streaming engine written in C++ and engineered to be dramatically more efficient than the JVM-based alternatives — used by data teams at companies like Cisco, Akamai and Vodafone. The company frames its purpose broadly: its mission is "Building the best present and future for enterprise data," and its vision is "Empowering the hackers, makers, and doers to build the future."
Founded in 2019, Redpanda has raised roughly $265.5M in total venture funding (its $100M Series C was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners in 2023). More recently it has expanded from streaming into a broader real-time data platform spanning streaming, connectors and SQL — increasingly positioned around governed data for AI agents.
Where will I work?
