What is Redox?
Redox is a healthcare data interoperability company built around one blunt premise: "Exchanging healthcare data is much harder than it should be." Healthcare organisations and technology vendors connect to Redox once, then authorise what data they send to and receive from partners through a centralised hub. Redox describes the platform as "vendor and standards-agnostic," an approach that "eradicates the need for point-to-point integrations and accelerates the discovery, adoption, and distribution of patient and provider-facing technology solutions." The company calls itself "healthcare's data interoperability leader," pointing to a connection network of 12,000-plus healthcare organisations, coverage of 95% of the top hospitals listed by US News, and billions of data transactions a year across health tech vendors, providers, payers, EHRs and life sciences customers. Redox is also a named interoperability partner for Amazon Web Services, Databricks, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
Where will I work?
Wherever you want to, as long as it is in the US. Under the heading "Work anywhere," Redox writes: "We want to have the best people at Redox—no matter where you call home. All Redox employees are encouraged to live and work wherever they're happiest. All you need is power, wifi, and a computer and you're good to go. We've been remote since the beginning and will continue to be." The company lists an address at 25 West Main Street in Madison, Wisconsin, but every live role is advertised as Remote. The one hard constraint is stated in each job ad: "Successful candidates must be eligible to be employed in the U.S. and must reside & work in the continental U.S."
What is the Redox team like?
Redox calls its people Redoxers, and frames the job as "not just a commitment to solving problems, but to supporting each other as we navigate those challenges together." The culture is explicitly outcome-led: "we are all focused on getting outcomes based on experimentation, data-driven decisions, and execution—and having some fun while doing it." Five values — being customer-obsessed, embodying "the power of 'we'", taking ownership, doing what we say we'll do, and acting — are used both to hire and to coach. Longer breaks are structural: under "Rest and R^Charge," Redox offers "six weeks of paid leave for every five years of service for you to take a sabbatical." New parents "can take 16 weeks of paid time off within the first year of your new addition arriving."
