About RAVE Aerospace

What is RAVE Aerospace?

RAVE Aerospace builds the RAVE family of in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems — the seatback screens, wireless streaming and connectivity platforms that airlines install across their fleets. The company became independent in February 2026, but the product and team carry a much longer lineage: RAVE was developed under Zodiac Inflight Innovations and then Safran Passenger Innovations before the business spun out under its own name. Airlines choose RAVE for its modular, crew-swappable displays — a design that made it one of the most widely deployed embedded IFE platforms in commercial aviation. This is commercial aerospace, not defense: no security clearance appears anywhere in its hiring.

Where will I work?

On site in Brea, California — the engineering, manufacturing-support and product teams work from the Brea headquarters, and current adverts are Brea-based rather than remote. A home allowance "to elevate your home workspace" is on the books for the flexibility the schedule allows.

What is the RAVE Aerospace team like?

Around 350 people spanning embedded software, electrical and mechanical engineering, product management, test and enterprise systems — a hardware-and-software house whose work ships inside aircraft cabins worldwide. An honest note: as a newly independent company, RAVE has no standalone review-site footprint yet (its predecessor's reviews sit inside the global Safran group's pages, which describe a 100,000-person conglomerate rather than this team), so we can't report a work-life-balance rating; the written schedule below is what we verified, and it appears in nearly every advert the company runs.

Work-Life Balance

The schedule is in the adverts themselves, sixteen of twenty-two of them: "Embraced flexibility with our alternative work schedule (9/80) to navigate your workweeks with every other Friday off." A 9/80 means eighty hours worked over nine days instead of ten — so every second Friday is yours.

Perks and Benefits

  • 9/80 alternative work schedule — every other Friday off, ad-verbatim in 16/22 adverts
  • "Paid time off covering vacations, personal time off, and sick days, capped off by an exciting year-end holiday shutdown"

  • 401(k) program with a company match
  • "A home allowance to elevate your home workspace"
  • Published salary ranges on adverts (e.g. $130,000–146,500) + a discretionary bonus program
