What is PermitFlow?
PermitFlow is an applied-AI company building software for the construction industry, with the stated aim of redefining how America builds. Its AI agent workforce helps fast-growing construction companies navigate the full pre-construction lifecycle — from permitting and licensing through inspections to project closeouts — to accelerate housing, clean-energy and infrastructure work. The company frames the opportunity in blunt terms: construction is a $1.6T industry that still loses time and capital to permitting delays, and PermitFlow says it has already delivered "speed, accuracy, and visibility to over $20B in development."
The product centres on AI agents that pull project information from a contractor's CRM, files and contracts, research requirements against PermitFlow's permit database and the relevant authorities, prepare and file forms directly, and then track every permit through to issuance. PermitFlow has raised over $90M, most recently completing a Series B, from investors including Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Initialized, Y Combinator, Felicis and Altos Ventures, with additional backing from leaders at OpenAI, Google, Procore, ServiceTitan, Zillow, PlanGrid and Uber.

PermitFlow is headquartered in New York City and runs on a hybrid basis, with most roles based in NYC and a smaller number posted as fully remote across the USA. Its platform is built to enterprise security standards and is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified.
