About Parachute Health

What is Parachute Health?

Parachute Health runs the digital ordering layer for post-acute care. Its own postings describe a company "transforming post-acute care as the leading digital ordering platform for medical equipment and supplies", one that connects "major health systems, health plans, and suppliers to help patients get the life-saving products they need at home." Where durable medical equipment (DME) ordering has traditionally meant faxes and phone calls, clinicians order digitally, suppliers receive clean documentation, and equipment reaches the patient faster.

The company says that since launching it has "connected 300,000+ clinicians and 3,000+ supplier locations across all 50 states and helped 15M+ patients." What began as a DME ePrescribing tool has, in its words, "become the order management platform of choice for home medical equipment."

Where will I work?

Remote-first, and US-based. Almost every open role is listed as "U.S. Remote", and postings state plainly that you "Must reside in the U.S." Senior leadership roles are anchored to "New York, NY, Boston, MA, or Philadelphia, PA". The benefits block spells the model out: "Remote-First Culture: We are remote-first with a dedicated NYC office and reimbursement options for co-working spaces." So there is a real office if you want one and a budget for a desk somewhere else if you do not, plus a home office and wellness stipend and a monthly internet stipend to fund the setup.

What is the Parachute Health team like?

Teams are cross-functional across engineering, product, sales, customer success, clinical operations and security. Engineering works "in an agile environment, including TDD and flexible pair programming", and engineers "contribute to balanced teams, working with product and design to shape the application." Management stays hands-on by design: "We believe in practicing managers, who want to contribute to the code as well as grow engineers", with manager roles described as a "Hybrid IC/manager position with up to 50% hands-on coding" while coaching "up to 5 engineers". New engineers go through a stated 90-day review "to ensure you are leveled accurately", and engineering roles carry an on-call rotation. Salary bands are published on every posting.

Work-Life Balance

Time off is a "Flexible Vacation Policy" — that is Parachute Health's own wording, with no day count published and no use of the word "unlimited". Sitting on top of it is the more concrete commitment: "Summer Fridays: 5 additional Fridays off during the summer (separate from PTO)." That is five extra long weekends a year that do not come out of your holiday allowance. Combined with remote-first working across US time zones, the day-to-day shape of the job is largely yours to set — with the caveat that engineering roles include an on-call rotation.
