Panthalassa is building planetary-scale clean energy from the middle of the ocean — "a clean energy platform to power compute and more." The mission framing is direct: "Global energy demand is accelerating beyond what terrestrial infrastructure can support. Panthalassa is headquartered in Portland, Oregon with "offices, lab, shop, and manufacturing facilities located in and near Portland." The team is proudly at work in Oregon, Washington, and the middle of the deep blue sea. Most roles are on-site with relocation assistance to Portland if needed.
What is the Panthalassa team like?
Panthalassa is hiring 28 active roles spanning the engineering, operations, and corporate functions required to design, build, deploy, and operate ocean-scale renewable energy infrastructure. Roles include Configuration Architect, Director of Accounting & Corporate Controller, Director of Information Security, and many more.
The compensation philosophy is direct — JDs disclose specific salary ranges (e.g. $175K–$245K for Configuration Architect) plus equity that "should be far and away the most valuable component of your compensation" if the company succeeds.
