What is OUAI?
OUAI (pronounced "way") is a prestige beauty and personal care brand founded by celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin. The brand's mission is captured in its tagline: "Wherever you go, go all the OUAI." In Jen's words: "I get it. I am an overstimulated consumer myself. I've used every hair product on the market and spent years talking to my clients and social followers about their hair. I've struggled to find a haircare brand that my friends and I could relate to. It was my goal to take these conversations and create the first socially-connected haircare brand."
OUAI's product range spans hair care, body care, fragrances (OUAI de Parfums), personal care, and merch. The fragrance line is "inspired by our favorite cities in the world" — Shibuya, North Bondi, Melrose Place, Mercer Street, Dean Street, Rue St. Honoré, St. Barts, Cape Town, Santorini, and Ibiza. The brand formulates without sulfates or parabens and has built "a strong and growing omnichannel presence through direct-to-consumer channels, specialty beauty retailers, and global distribution partners," continuing to "expand into new markets, deepen consumer loyalty, and scale its differentiated, high-margin business model internationally."
OUAI was acquired by Procter & Gamble in November 2022 and operates within the P&G family of brands.
Where will I work?
OUAI is headquartered in Los Angeles, with hybrid options for many roles and remote United States for some Digital roles. Hybrid employees receive a hybrid-work reimbursement.
What is the OUAI team like?
