About Osano
What is Osano?
Osano is a data-privacy platform — consent management, subject-rights automation, assessments and vendor-risk monitoring that keep companies compliant with GDPR, CCPA and the world's ever-multiplying privacy laws. Founded in Austin in 2018 by Arlo Gilbert and Scott Hertel, it has raised $44.4M (Baird Capital, Jump Capital, LiveOak) and is structured as a Public Benefit Corporation and certified B-Corp — "a B-corporation with a mission that matters", as its own job listings put it.
Where will I work?
Anywhere in the US: Osano is "a fully and permanently remote company" with no central office, and backs it with a MacBook plus a $600 home-workspace budget and an annual company trip to actually meet.
What is the Osano team like?
Around 94 people across engineering, AI, customer success, marketing and sales. The receipts on culture are unusually strong: "recognized as a Great Place to Work for four years running, with 97% of employees saying Osano is a great place to work", and a "Best Place for Working Parents" with paid parental leave for all new parents.
Work-Life Balance
Osano's PTO policy has teeth, verbatim from its job descriptions: "Unlimited paid time off, plus a requirement to take at least two weeks off per year" — the anti-vague-unlimited construction we look for. The careers page adds: "We encourage all of our team members to take the time they need to recoup and refresh as much as they need." Mental-health support goes beyond a hotline: mindfulness and talk-therapy memberships, with company-paid therapy options.
