About Orum
What is Orum?
Orum builds an AI-powered live-conversation platform for outbound sales teams. In its own words, "Orum's AI-powered suite frees salespeople to do what they do best: connect, listen, and sell," spanning "intelligent dialing and real-time conversation insights to AI-driven coaching and virtual sales floors." The product line covers a Dialer, Coaching, a virtual Salesfloor, Orum AI and a data agent called Scout, with the AI "powered on data from more than 1 billion sales calls."
Its about page states the mission as "We accelerate sales teams by empowering salespeople to achieve more," and lists Orum as founded in 2018. Note this is Orum the sales-conversation platform at orum.com, not the similarly named payments-infrastructure company.
Where will I work?
Remotely. "We've been a fully remote company since day one. We believe you can do your best work no matter where you are. We support a remote-working structure but plan regular retreats to meet in-person." The careers page describes Orum as "a remote-first company building better tools for sales leaders."
Current openings on Orum's Ashby board are anchored to two US hubs: engineering, product and applied-AI roles listed against the San Francisco Bay Area, and sales development roles in Austin, Texas.
What is the Orum team like?
Six published values shape it: "Excellence," "No Jerks" ("While there are many high-performing jerks, we prioritize building a team without them"), "Accountability" ("Ownership and accountability are keys to driving action, especially in a remote work environment"), "Integrity" ("We don't lie to customers, partners, or fellow employees, even if we stand to gain by doing so"), "Stewardship" and "Great Ideas Win." Engineering describes its stack as "Node.js, TypeScript, React, Ruby, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, and FreeSWITCH," and job ads say "we value engineering, product, and design equally." There is one employee resource group, "Women Of Orum (WOO)."
Work-Life Balance
The distinctive piece is a company-wide monthly day off. Orum's careers page: "Team members do their best work when their lives feel balanced. That's why we offer unlimited PTO and the first Friday of every month off." Every live job ad repeats the structure independently — "30+ paid holidays annually, including observed holidays, the first Friday of every month off and a two-week year-end holiday break" — branded internally as "Orum Days Off." That day off is company-wide and calendared, not earned.
One wording caveat: the careers page says "unlimited PTO," while the benefits block in every current job ad calls the same policy a "Flexible Vacation Policy." Orum publishes no four-day week, 32-hour week or compressed schedule.
