About MS Society

Who we are

The MS Society is the UK's leading charity supporting people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).

Founded in 1953, the organization has grown significantly and now supports over 150,000 people living with MS in the UK. Headquartered in London, the MS Society operates a network of local groups across the country, creating a strong community presence where it matters most. We provide a wide range of services and support to the MS community, including funding groundbreaking research to stop MS and improve treatments.

What we do

We focus on providing support, information, and funding for groundbreaking research to stop MS. Our activities span multiple critical areas:

Research & Innovation

We fund scientific research to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for MS, investing in projects that bring us closer to stopping MS for good.

Community Support

Through our network of local groups and online forums, we connect people affected by MS, providing peer support and building a strong community where no one faces MS alone.

Advocacy & Campaigning

We advocate at all levels of government to improve services, treatments, and support for people with MS, ensuring their voices are heard by decision-makers.

Information & Resources

We offer comprehensive resources and services to help people manage their condition, including emotional support, financial advice, and health and social care information. Our MS Helpline provides essential support to those affected by MS, offering expert advice on managing symptoms and accessing services.
