About Mesh

What is Mesh?

Mesh — legally Mesh Connect Inc. — describes itself as "the first global crypto payments network". In its own words, Mesh connects "hundreds of exchanges, wallets, and financial platforms into a single, unified infrastructure layer—so anyone can pay or get paid instantly, from any wallet, on any chain, anywhere in the world." Its job ads set out the problem plainly: "trillions of dollars in tokenized assets exist but remain largely unusable for everyday commerce," and Mesh "is bridging this gap by making crypto payments reliable, useful, and ubiquitous," combining "a powerful orchestration engine with a seamless consumer app." The stated vision is to "accelerate financial freedom globally" — "not the promise of it—the ability to actually move money whenever you want, without borders, delays, or gatekeepers." Mesh was founded in 2020 in the Bay Area, "building globally from day one," and says it is backed by investors including PayPal Ventures, Paradigm, Dragonfly and Galaxy.

Where will I work?

Mesh positions itself as "global from day one... Not a Bay Area company with remote bolted on—a globally distributed team by design," with "100+ team members across the US, Europe, India, and LatAm." It runs hubs in San Francisco, New York and Bangalore, and is unusually specific about the in-office expectation: "Employees based in our San Francisco, New York, and Bangalore hubs are expected to work from the office at least 40% of the time (approximately two days per week). This expectation may vary slightly depending on role, team, and business needs." Certain roles needing closer cross-functional collaboration carry heavier requirements, "which will be discussed during the interview process." Alongside the hubs, current postings include fully remote roles across the United States, Europe, LATAM and APAC.

What is the Mesh team like?

The pitch is "small team, outsized scope": "Every person has direct impact on the product, the architecture, and the trajectory of the company." Employees quoted on the careers page emphasise autonomy and low ego. A staff product manager says life at Mesh "is rooted in continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation. Everyone's voice genuinely matters." A solutions architect adds that "the people are talented and low-ego, and everyone is working towards a common goal," and a front-end engineer describes autonomy that is "truly empowering—you're encouraged to think like a product owner." Job ads are candid about the pace, calling Mesh "a rocket ship in mid-liftoff." All applications and interview scheduling run through Greenhouse.

Work-Life Balance

Mesh works a standard full-time week: it publishes no four-day week, 32-hour week or compressed schedule, and none of its live job ads mention one. What it does publish is a hybrid model "designed to balance meaningful in-person collaboration, team building, and real-time decision-making with the flexibility to work remotely" — a structure Mesh says "supports strong execution while preserving autonomy and focus time." On time off, every current posting states: "We offer unlimited PTO—and we mean it. Take the time you need to recharge and show up at your best."
