What is Marathon Petroleum?
Marathon Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: MPC) is the largest petroleum refining system in the United States. Headquartered in Findlay, Ohio, the company runs 13 refineries with a combined crude oil refining capacity of ~3 million barrels per calendar day and is the general partner of MPLX LP, a midstream logistics company. MPC also operates the Martinez Renewables joint venture, one of the largest renewable diesel facilities in the US.
