What is M-Files?
M-Files is a metadata-driven, "context-first" document management system that helps business and IT leaders work faster and smarter. Instead of organising files in rigid folders, M-Files connects documents to the business context around them — the related people, projects and transactions — so information is easy to find, trust and feed into AI. With its metadata-driven architecture, organisations can unify information across silos, automate workflows and apply AI at scale, including through deep Microsoft 365 and Copilot integration.
Founded in 2002 with Finnish roots, M-Files is now a global company "trusted by thousands of organizations worldwide" — serving over 6,000 customers in more than 100 countries. Where will I work?
M-Files is headquartered in Finland, with engineering hubs in Tampere, Helsinki and Lappeenranta, plus a substantial US team and offices and roles across the UK, Sweden, Norway and Germany. Many roles are remote-enabled or hybrid: as the company puts it, "as a remote enabled company our employees enjoy the flexibility to establish their own life/work balance." Some specialist roles are office- or region-based (for example Nordics roles near Oslo or Stockholm).

Work-Life Balance
Time off depends on where you're based. US employees get Unlimited PTO plus 10 paid holidays a year. EU, Nordic and UK employees follow local statutory and contractual leave — UK staff, for example, receive 25 days' holiday on top of public holidays.
