What is Loka?
Loka is a 20-year-old AI and cloud consultancy that builds software for ambitious startups and Fortune 500 companies. As an inaugural AWS Generative AI Partner, the firm has helped customers advance "the world's #1 AI reading tutor, transform rundown homes into green machines and accelerate novel drug discovery to fight leukemia." Loka operates 100% remotely, balanced by the "stability of an 20-year-strong company."
Loka also runs LokaLabs™ — an internal innovation sandbox where teammates can pitch their own ideas and explore "moonshot technologies." Current LokaLabs products include ADDA™ ("What if discovering new drugs was as simple as asking a question?"), Clementine® (an AWS-trained chatbot blueprint), and Petunia® (machine learning for siRNA predictions).
Where will I work?
Loka is 100% remote-first, with active roles across LATAM, North Macedonia, Portugal, Serbia, Colombia, and the US (Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, NYC, Arlington VA). The company maintains a Silicon Valley office at 350 2nd Street, Suite 8, Los Altos CA 94022 — "for when you want to interact with other humans" — and continues to expand the geographic footprint as the team grows.

Work-Life Balance
Loka's headline schedule is "5/4 Fridays" — every other Friday off (26 extra days off a year). Hours are flexible: "nail your deadlines while working whenever you're most productive." The Explore Program lets teammates spend three months living in Europe or Latin America. The Relo Program permanently relocates an employee's family and pets at Loka's expense.
