Ledgebrook is a tech-enabled excess & surplus (E&S) lines insurance MGA founded in 2021 and headquartered in the Boston area. It underwrites hard-to-place commercial risks — general liability, professional liability, excess casualty and more — with a speed-first pitch to wholesale brokers: quotes in days, not weeks, powered by modern underwriting software the company builds in-house. Backed by about $119M in venture funding through Series C, Ledgebrook is one of the fastest-growing new names in specialty insurance.
Where will I work?
From home. Ledgebrook is remote-first across the US ("Remote work, flexible hours" sits directly in its benefits list), with roles spanning underwriting territories coast to coast plus engineering, product, claims, actuarial and finance — and a handful of international engineering roles. Underwriting territories are organised regionally (East, Central, West) so underwriters build real broker relationships from wherever they live, and the engineering organisation hires beyond the US for some platform roles.
What is the Ledgebrook team like?
