What is Latitude AI?
Latitude AI is an automated-driving technology company "developing automated driving technologies with the mission to democratize autonomy and transform travel to be safer, less stressful, and more enjoyable for everyone." It is building "a next-generation ADAS platform from the ground up", developing both on-vehicle full-stack autonomy and the off-vehicle ML ecosystem in-house.
On ownership, Latitude is explicit and current: "Latitude was founded in 2023 to transform the driving experience. As a wholly-owned subsidiary, we operate independently to develop automated driving technology at the speed and spirit of a startup with the scale and stability of Ford Motor Company." The roadmap is equally concrete: "Our in-house ADAS platform will debut on Ford's all-new Universal Electrical Vehicle Platform in 2027", built around "a unified L2-to-L3 platform". CEO Sammy Omari, onstage at CES in 2026: "Our focused in-house approach unlocks incredible capability: from enhanced hands-free driving right at launch, to traffic light and intersection handling to unlock seamless point-to-point autonomy."
Where will I work?
Latitude publishes four office addresses: Dearborn/Allen Park in Michigan, Pittsburgh, Palo Alto, and Greenville, South Carolina. Most engineering roles on the job board are tagged to one or more of Pittsburgh, Palo Alto and Detroit; a handful are posted as Remote, and test and vehicle-operations roles appear in further US locations including Wittmann, Arizona and Long Beach, California.
What is the Latitude AI team like?
"Join a team of ML and robotics experts solving the hardest problems in real-world AI." Latitude describes "world-class talent" — "leading robotics experts experienced in launching safe, high performing, and differentiated products" — paired with "full-stack ownership": "We build everything in-house, from ML training on internal GPU datacenters to optimized on-vehicle compute." The culture pitch is "best of both worlds", combining "speed, agility, and ingenuity with Ford's discipline, manufacturing, and scaling excellence." Work-Life Balance
Latitude files work-life balance as its own benefits category and words it this way: "Unlimited vacation, 15 company-wide holidays, monthly wellness stipends, and many other initiatives to rest and recharge away from work." The same wording — "Unlimited vacation" plus "15 paid holidays" — repeats verbatim in the benefits block of every full-time job listing, which is a good sign it is a real policy rather than careers-page decoration.
Family support is unusually broad: "Paid medical and parental leave, adoption and surrogacy support, backup child and elder care programs, pet insurance, and more". Offices run "daily lunches, snacks, and beverages", and team bonding is funded through employee resource groups and a quarterly team activity stipend. Daily working hours are not published.
