About Kodex
What is Kodex?
Kodex is the platform that companies use to handle law-enforcement and legal requests safely: when police, courts or regulators ask a tech company for data, Kodex verifies who's really asking, routes the request to the right team, and gives trust & safety and legal teams one auditable place to respond. Founded in 2020 by former Coinbase and Airbnb trust & safety leaders and backed by ~$32M, Kodex is used by many of the biggest names in tech, fintech and crypto — it is a software vendor solving a governance problem, not a government contractor. The problem it solves is real governance infrastructure: before Kodex, law-enforcement requests arrived by fax and unverified email — impersonated "emergency data requests" became a known attack vector — and Kodex's verification layer is now how major platforms confirm a request is genuine before a single byte moves.
Where will I work?
At home in the US: Kodex describes itself in its adverts as "Remote-first within the U.S.", with the whole team gathering at "annual offsites" (recent ones in Seattle, Miami, Nashville and San Francisco). Two region-scoped threat-intel roles exist for APAC/EMEA on different local packages — our feed carries the US roles.
What is the Kodex team like?
A compact, senior team (~30-80 people) across engineering, customer success, sales and threat intelligence. An honest note: Kodex is young enough to have no review-site footprint, so we can't report a work-life-balance rating; its published policies below are what we can verify.
Work-Life Balance
"Unlimited PTO + 14 company holidays" — verbatim in every US advert, across customer success, engineering and sales alike — plus "12 weeks fully paid parental leave" with a "flexible return-to-work" arrangement. Customer-success and sales hires work the same policy stack as engineering — the benefits block is identical across all three US functions, which is exactly the company-wide signal the platform verifies for.
