What is Khan Academy?
Khan Academy is a not-for-profit educational organisation founded in 2008 by Salman Khan with the mission of providing a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere. The platform serves learners in 190+ countries with content in 30+ languages, covering K-12 math, science, computing, history, and more. Khanmigo, their AI-powered tutor and teaching assistant launched in 2023, runs on the same nonprofit basis.
Where will I work?
Mixed remote model. Of 27 currently-open roles: 6 are Remote (US), 5 are India (Remote), 3 are Mountain View, CA / Remote (Continental US + Hawaii + Canada), with additional India-hub roles (Gurgaon, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai) and one São Paulo role. Strong India presence with US-remote default for HQ-aligned roles.
What is the Khan Academy team like?
~250 direct staff (Apollo's 2,300 estimate includes large pools of contractors and volunteer instructors). Active hiring across engineering, learning content design, learning experience, operations, finance, and India-team functions.

The 8 days are company-wide and scheduled in advance — every Khan employee gets eight guaranteed long-weekend boosts across the year.
