What is Imply?
Imply builds data infrastructure for observability, security and AI. "Imply was founded in 2015 by the original creators of Apache Druid", the open-source real-time analytics database, and its products extend that work: Imply Polaris, "A fully managed, secure, cloud-native Druid-as-a-service", and Imply Lumi, which lets teams query unstructured logs in their data lake for operational and security investigations. The pitch is that organisations can "keep more data, search it faster, and spend less—without changing their tools".
Customer stories on its site include Netflix, which "monitors playback quality in real time, ingesting 2M events every second"; The R&A, which "delivers real-time observability at golf's most prestigious global championships"; and BTG Pactual, which scaled security investigations without replacing Splunk. "We are backed by Thoma Bravo, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Bessemer Venture Partners, Tiger Global Management, Khosla Ventures, and Geodesic Capital."
Where will I work?
Remotely, in the US. Imply says "you have the flexibility to decide how and where you work the best- we are a remote first company". Its live roles are advertised as remote, and the unlimited-leave benefit is specified as USA-only, so in practice this is a US remote employer. The corporate office is in San Francisco.
