Its postings sit under two names, Harvard Business Publishing and Harvard Business Impact, and its careers page says "Every day, we influence how leaders think, perform, and grow." On 2026-10-16 its Workday board listed 11 roles, including finance, DevOps, enterprise risk, sales, employee experience, digital workplace, virtual events and learner support.
Where will I work?
The careers page says "Harvard Business Publishing is headquartered in Boston, MA, with offices and staff available around the world" and "Employees can choose between a highly flexible hybrid work model or a fully remote position, with opportunities to visit headquarters and other offices throughout the year." The postings are less uniform. Seven of the 11 carry a Boston label on Workday, two of them marked Hybrid, and the rest are Remote-US, Remote-UAE, Remote-Australia and Gurugram, India. Three Boston postings prioritise people in the "Boston area" "due to onsite collaboration needs", two of them saying the role is open to remote candidates, and the B2B Sales Representative posting adds "an expectation to work onsite once per week on Wednesdays". The US remote role is described as "a remote, field-based role supporting institutions throughout the US West region" with frequent regional travel.
What is the Harvard Business Publishing team like?
The careers page anchors its culture in three values, "to do what's right, do what's hard, and do it with excellence", and says "Career development at Harvard Business Publishing is personalized, transparent, and encouraged." It adds that "Our employees have unlimited access to the ideas we publish", and promises "free pie every Thanksgiving". Seven postings publish a pay range, such as $70,000 to $80,000 for the B2B Sales Representative and $160,000 to $190,000 for the Senior Director, Finance and Business Performance.
Work-Life Balance
The same sentence appears in all 11 postings: "we offer meaningful programs focused on career development and employee wellness, such as education reimbursement and early-release Summer Fridays!" The careers page lists "green initiatives, flexible work, paid volunteer days, and Summer Fridays". No page says how early a Summer Friday ends, which weeks it covers or how many volunteer days there are, and no posting states a number of vacation days.
