About Hanover
What is Hanover?
Hanover Communications is an international PR, communications and public affairs consultancy headquartered in London. Its About page describes it as an international PR agency that builds the reputation and recognition of enterprises, institutions and individuals. Charles Lewington founded the firm in 1998, it was acquired by AVENIR GLOBAL in April 2019, and it works across healthcare, corporate communications, public affairs, digital and sustainability. The employing company is Hanover Communications International Limited (company registration 03559699).
Where will I work?
The flagship team is in London at Riverside House, 2A Southwark Bridge Rd, SE1 9HA, and the Contact page lists further offices in Brussels, Dublin, Dubai, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi. All three live adverts on 6 November 2026 are London roles in the Healthcare Communications team. The careers page says: "We offer a core hours flexible working policy and hybrid working to allow a balance between important in-person interactions with colleagues and clients, whilst managing responsibilities outside of the office too." The core hours window and the number of office days are not stated.
What is the Hanover team like?
An AVENIR GLOBAL article from March 2023 says Hanover Group has over 200 full-time employees across Europe and the Middle East, so it is a mid-sized agency inside a large communications group. The careers page describes "a highly engaged and entrepreneurial team" with a culture built on knowledge sharing, collaboration and trust, an internal inclusion and diversity network, and employee recognition programmes. It also lists paid internships and apprenticeships, secondments across the group's international consultancies, and a Power Hours scheme that gives every team member 50 paid hours a year to support causes they care about. The three live adverts are for an Account Director, an Account Executive and a Senior Account Executive.
Work-Life Balance
The careers page states: "We also offer Summer Fridays, with an early finish at 3pm." The adverts give more detail: "Summer Fridays finish (3pm) – early Friday finish the rest of the year (4pm)." The same line is in all three live adverts, which are in one team, and the careers page makes it a company-wide benefit. The pages do not say which months count as summer, nor the usual finish time or weekly hours, so the size of the saving is not stated. Annual leave in the adverts is 25 days plus bank holidays. The careers page adds an extra 4 weeks of fully paid sabbatical leave after 5 years of service, while the adverts say staff become eligible to apply for a sabbatical after 2 years of service. Family-friendly policies include 18 weeks of maternity or adoption leave paid in full, enhanced paternity and shared parental pay, and parental coaching.
