About Grid
What is Grid?
Grid (gridverify.com) is a fraud-prevention and risk-orchestration platform for financial institutions: fintechs, credit unions and banks use its end-to-end verification stack to confirm that the person opening an account or moving money is who they claim to be — identity verification, risk signals and decisioning orchestrated in one flow instead of a patchwork of point vendors. Founded in 2024 out of Oakland, California, Grid is an early-stage team selling into an urgent problem: fraud losses at community financial institutions are climbing while their tooling lags the big banks'. The founding wedge is community financial institutions: credit unions and regional banks face the same fraud rings as the majors with a fraction of the tooling budget, and Grid packages bank-grade verification into something a small risk team can actually deploy — a mission with obvious room to compound.
Where will I work?
At home: all five current openings are simply "Remote," with no office mandate and no timezone requirement stated — backed by a "$1,000 Home Office stipend" and internet reimbursement.
What is the Grid team like?
About a dozen people today across product, engineering and enterprise sales — genuinely early, where each of the five current hires (senior PM, senior backend and frontend engineers, senior product designer, enterprise AE) will shape the platform's trajectory. An honest note: Grid is too young to have any review-site footprint, so we can't report a work-life-balance rating; its written policies below — including scheduled mental-health days — are what we verified. The stack decisions are modern by default — the team is building greenfield in 2024-era tooling rather than maintaining a decade of legacy — which for senior engineers is a rare chance to own architecture from the first commit.
