What is Flex?

Flex is a growth-stage NYC-headquartered fintech rebuilding the rent-payment experience. Through its app, renters split their monthly rent into smaller payments scheduled around their actual cashflow — paid throughout the month rather than the standard lump sum on the 1st. In the company's own words, the mission is "to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense."

The platform now processes more than $1 billion in rent every month for over 2 million renters, and Flex says it has helped customers avoid more than $850 million in late fees annually. Flex Rent and Flex Move-in lines of credit are issued through Lead Bank or Column N.A. (FDIC member). Flex describes its engineering team as "AI-first," running on AWS and GCP.

Where will I work?

Flex runs a hybrid model with three U.S. offices — New York City (HQ), Salt Lake City, and San Francisco — plus remote-eligible roles across the U.S. The careers page describes the in-office experience as "lively" with new office space on the way in NYC.
