About FitFlop

What is FitFlop?

FitFlop is a footwear brand. Its careers site says "We've been game changers since we entered the scene in 2007", when "it was generally accepted that a shoe could not look good and feel great", and that its mission is "to raise the energy of the world and help you live your life to the full by creating wellness products engineered to work with your body". Its About page says "entrepreneur and founder Marcia Kilgore" had "a vision for blending beauty with biomechanics", that the company has "sold more than 65 million pairs of shoes in all corners of the globe", and that its original silhouette, The Walkstar 1, grew into styles "from flip-flops, casual and smart shoes, to boots and sandals". It adds that its in-house biomechanists "work hard to develop world-class technology". One London posting names the wholesale accounts it manages, including John Lewis, Next, M&S, Office, Zalando, Macy's and Nordstrom.

Where will I work?

Its six London postings on 2026-10-13 are marked "Hybrid", in marketing, digital, supply chain and operations, and product. Its London page says the company is "based in the Foundry Building in Hammersmith" and that its "Smarter Working" policy is "3 days a week in the office, with the rest working from home"; the same page says "Gone are the days of being in the office 5 days a week, we are currently 3 days in the office". Its postings list "Work from anywhere for 2 weeks", and the London page says "Between January and November you can work from anywhere for 2 weeks and if you wish it can be split into 1 week increments". Its careers site also lists locations in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Dongguan in China, Germany, India, New York and Singapore, and a Shoreditch showroom. Its seventh posting, a "Fully Remote" Sales Executive for South Germany, does not list Summer Fridays and is not shown here.

What is the FitFlop team like?

Its culture page says it is "rooted in our values of BETTER, SPIRITED & HUMAN". Its equity page says "Out of more than 250 employees across the globe, we have over thirty nationalities, over 65% female workforce and 60% of management positions held by women." Its learning page names HowNow, a platform with "hundreds of e-learning courses", and Culture Amp for anonymous engagement surveys. Its Feel Good programme runs "monthly catch-ups in the kitchen to Thirsty Thursday, outdoor walking meetings, and mindfulness activities"; the office has "around 60 solar panels on the office roof" and an annual sample sale that raised "around £3500" for two charities last year. Its recruitment page describes an intro call, a virtual interview, a face to face interview at its Hammersmith HQ and an onboarding in which "over the first 3 months, you'll explore various departments".

Work-Life Balance

Six of its seven postings list "Summer Fridays (6 ½ days in July and August on Fridays)", and its London benefits page words the same perk as "25 days per year plus Summer Fridays (6 x ½ days in July and August on Fridays)": six half-days across the two summer months, a small perk beside a 25-day holiday allowance plus bank holidays. Its careers site also lists a "Day Off for your Birthday" among its global benefits. The London page says "we focus on outputs, not hours", and its postings list "Hybrid and flexible working hours". FitFlop is not a four-day-week employer and does not publish its weekly hours.
