What is Ethena?
Ethena is the compliance-training platform that made mandatory workplace training something employees don't dread: smart, funny, research-backed courses on harassment prevention, security awareness, code of conduct and more, plus a whole compliance suite (hotline, case management, phishing simulation, policy management). Founded in 2019 by Roxanne Petraeus and Anne Solmssen and backed by ~$50M through Series B, Ethena trains millions of employees at companies like Zoom, Pinterest and Netflix. Its stated philosophy: "We live the values our training teaches." The product line has grown well beyond courses: a Training Agent, Disclosure and Third-Party-Risk Agents, an ethics hotline, case management and a phishing simulator make it a full compliance platform, and the content is refreshed continuously by an in-house team rather than licensed from a catalogue vendor.
