About Empresarios Agrupados
What is Empresarios Agrupados?
Empresarios Agrupados (EAG) is a Madrid engineering company for power plants and energy infrastructure. Its Presentation page, read on 6 November 2026, calls it "una reconocida empresa de ingeniería española" (a well-known Spanish engineering company) with "más de 60 años de experiencia" (more than 60 years of experience) in generating, transmitting and distributing electricity, infrastructure, large ornamental fountains and aerospace simulation. It adds: "Con una facturación anual de 160M de euros, trabajamos a nivel internacional con presencia en 80 países y un equipo con más de 1.400 empleados, de los cuales el 70% son titulados universitarios" (annual turnover of 160 million euros, a presence in 80 countries and a team of more than 1,400 employees, 70% of them university graduates). The careers page repeats these figures, and the HTML of its counters reads 1963 for Fundación (foundation) and 1400 for Trabajadores (workers). The website lists business lines in nuclear (new plants, plants in operation, decommissioning and advanced fission and fusion projects), conventional generation, renewables, energy transition, consulting and due diligence, and simulation. EAG is part of the CPE group ("China Energy Engineering Group Planning and Engineering Co. Ltd"), which belongs to the SASAC group ("State Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission"), and the legal notice names the owner of the website as Empresarios Agrupados Internacional S.A., domiciled in Madrid.
Where will I work?
The head office is in Madrid. The Presentation page says its "sede central se encuentra situada en pleno centro de Madrid, en el distrito de Chamberí, y contamos también con oficinas en Dubai (EAU)" (the head office is right in the centre of Madrid, in the Chamberí district, and there are also offices in Dubai, UAE), and the legal notice gives the postal address as "C/ Magallanes, 3, 28015 Madrid (España)". On 6 November 2026 the careers board lists 36 adverts, and all 22 that state the flexible-hours wording are Madrid head-office roles; four of them mention the Quevedo area of central Madrid. The working pattern is hybrid: the careers board tags every one of the 22 as Híbrido (hybrid) and every one of the 22 adverts offers two days of remote work a week. Nine say "Hasta 2 días de teletrabajo" (up to 2 days of remote work), and seven of those add "después de un primer periodo de integración" (after a first integration period); the other 13 say "2 días de teletrabajo semanal" or "2 días de teletrabajo por semana" (2 days of remote work a week). Sixteen of the 22 adverts also mention travel availability, for example "Disponibilidad para desplazamientos nacionales e internacionales de corta duración (1-2 semanas)" (availability for short national and international trips of one to two weeks); two of them only say it is valued, and one advert says "Movilidad geográfica No requerida" (no geographic mobility required). The board also lists nine roles at the Almaraz and Trillo nuclear power plants (the four at Almaraz are tagged Presencial, on site), two in Torrelavega (Cantabria) and three more in Madrid; none of those 14 states the flexible-hours wording.
What is the Empresarios Agrupados team like?
This is a large engineering workforce. The Spanish team page says the company "cuenta con un equipo de profesionales altamente cualificados, compuesto por más de 1.100 personas, de las cuales un 70% son titulados universitarios" (has a team of highly qualified professionals, more than 1,100 people, 70% of them university graduates), while the Presentation and careers pages give more than 1,400 employees, so the company's own figures differ. The 22 Madrid adverts cover electrical and power-electronics engineering, nuclear systems, nuclear safety and licensing, probabilistic safety and industrial risk analysis, finite-element and structural calculation, a molten-salts specialist, decommissioning, EPC estimating, quality control, HSE, contract and claims management, a renewables sales lead and an internal finance-systems consultant, at levels from junior engineer to manager. English is asked for in every advert: a minimum of B2 in 17, B1 in 2, C1 in 1 and professional or fluent English in the other 2. On tenure the company says two different things: the careers page speaks of "average tenure of over 10 years and more than 1,400 employees", while the molten-salts advert says "Gran estabilidad laboral (nuestra antigüedad media supera los 15 años)" (great job stability: our average length of service exceeds 15 years); both are the company's own claims and neither is independently checked.
Work-Life Balance
Flexible hours are listed as an employer benefit in all 22 Madrid adverts: "Horario flexible" (flexible hours) in 14 and "Flexibilidad horaria" (flexibility of hours) in 8, across electrical, mechanical and process, civil and safety engineering, EPC project management, finance and accounting, and renewables sales. Seven adverts give the fuller line "Flexibilidad horaria y jornada intensiva en verano" (flexible hours and an intensive working day in summer); in the 14 "Horario flexible" adverts the intensive summer day is a separate line, such as "Jornada intensiva de verano" or "Jornada intensiva en verano" (intensive working day in summer), and two add Fridays: "Jornada intensiva los viernes y en verano" and "Jornada intensiva en verano y los viernes" (intensive working day on Fridays and in summer). No advert defines the working day: no core hours, no weekly-hours figure and no length for the intensive day are stated, and none gives a holiday entitlement. Remote work is up to two days a week, as above.
