What is Edward River Council?
Edward River Council is the local government for Deniliquin and the surrounding district in southern New South Wales, on the lands of the Wamba Wamba/Perrepa Perrepa Peoples. It delivers the services a regional community relies on — "Parks & Recreation, Arts & Culture, Economic Development, Planning, Waste & Recycling and much more" — together with roads, water supply and sewer services, the Deniliquin saleyards and airport, the library, the town hall and the Peppin Heritage Centre. Current major projects include the Deniliquin Saleyards upgrades and the Peppin Heritage Centre Museum revitalisation.

Where will I work?
In Deniliquin. "While the majority of our corporate team members are located in the attractive Civic Precinct in Cressy Street", other staff work from the works depot, the library, the airport, Deniliquin Town Hall, the Peppin Heritage Centre and Visitor Information Centre, and the landfill and transfer stations in Deniliquin, Blighty and Conargo. The Council also states a commitment to hybrid and remote working where roles allow it.
