DatologyAI builds automated data-curation technology for training AI models — identifying which subsets of massive datasets will make a model better, faster and cheaper to train. Founded in 2023 by researchers from Meta AI and DeepMind (its founding team wrote some of the field's foundational data-pruning papers), the company has raised about $57.7M through Series A from investors including Felicis, Radical Ventures, Amplify, Microsoft's M12 and Amazon's Alexa Fund. Its customers train foundation models and enterprise AI systems on curated data instead of raw web dumps.
Where will I work?
From the company's Bay Area base — DatologyAI works from Redwood City, California (with roles also listed in San Mateo). This is an in-person-leaning research startup, softened by real flexibility commitments: new parents, for example, get "6 months of WFH flexibility" on top of leave. The office culture centres on deep research collaboration — model-training runs, ablation reviews and data-quality deep-dives happen in person — which is why the company concentrates in one Bay Area hub rather than distributing.
