About Copia Automation
What is Copia Automation?
Copia Automation is "the world's leading provider of OT backup & code management software" — an Industrial Code Lifecycle Management platform that brings modern software-engineering practices to operational technology. Copia "develop[s] novel tools and technologies to help companies manage, review, and deploy the code that runs industrial systems, factories, warehouses, and critical infrastructure," using "Git-based versioning and automated backups to maximize uptime, recover in the event of disaster, and comply with the latest regulations and standards."
The product line spans Copia Source Control, DeviceLink, Copia AI and Copia Actions ("the first configurable workflow engine purpose-built for industrial code"). Founded and led by CEO Adam Gluck ("Featured in Forbes 30 under 30"), Copia is "a 50+ person team growing 2x year-over-year, backed by top investors like Construct, Lux, Ironspring, and Renegade," serving "customers across all types of manufacturing, logistics, data centers, and energy." Its mission, simply put, is "rebuilding manufacturing."
Where will I work?
"Our headquarters is in New York, but our team is remote throughout North America." Most roles are hybrid out of the New York City HQ — described as "a vibrant, fully-loaded HQ in the center of New York City" — while at least one role (Strategic Technical Solutions Engineer) is fully Remote. For qualifying hires, Copia notes "relocation assistance available."
What is the Copia Automation team like?
Copia is unapologetically engineer-led: "We're built by engineers, for engineers. Every idea is heard, every problem is solved collaboratively." The team brings "cloud-native workflows, version control, and continuous validation to industries that run the world," and its values lean toward being Low Ego ("We're okay with being wrong. We rigorously test ideas") and Hypothesis-driven. Open roles span software and AI engineering, an engineering manager, product design, technical content marketing and sales — a small, high-ownership team taking on real industrial challenges.
Work-Life Balance
Copia advertises a flexible work environment with unlimited PTO: "Generous benefits, unlimited PTO, and a vibrant, fully-loaded HQ in the center of New York City." Engineering postings spell it out as "Unlimited PTO and company holidays," paired with a "high-trust, high-ownership culture." The remote-throughout-North-America setup plus a hybrid NYC base gives the team flexibility around a well-equipped central office.
