Who We Are

Based in Houston with core operations in North Dakota and Montana, Chord Energy is an independent, publicly traded oil and gas producer (NASDAQ: CHRD). Formed in 2022 from the combination of Oasis Petroleum and Whiting Petroleum, we unlock the energy potential of the Bakken and Three Forks formations to deliver reliable, affordable energy to a growing world.

As a mid-cap producer with public company resources, we combine operational agility with financial strength, enabling us to invest in both our people and our assets while maintaining the disciplined approach that drives long-term value.

Our Team

More than 750 engineers, geoscientists, field operators, and corporate professionals collaborate across Houston, Williston, and remote home offices. We blend deep basin knowledge with a culture of continuous improvement that prizes safety, capital discipline, and innovation.
