About Chase Design Group

What is Chase Design Group?

Chase Design Group is "a strategically driven creative agency with offices in New York, Los Angeles, and Bristol UK." It was founded in 1986 by creative director Margo Chase, and it calls itself "a full-service branding agency offering a complete suite of services ranging from brand fundamentals to 360° integration and implementation." "Consumer products and packaging are our key areas of expertise", and its work spans brand strategy and positioning, identity design, naming, package design and production, structural and industrial design, UX and web design, 3D visualization and motion graphics, retail and environmental design, and consumer research. It has "a strong focus on strategy and creative development for small and large consumer-packaged goods companies, including Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, and Nestlé", and its clients also include Mattel and Target. The agency is led by CEO and chief strategist Chris Lowery and chief creative officer Clark Goolsby. Margo Chase died in 2017; the agency says "Her example guides our present and points to our future."

Where will I work?

Chase works from three studios. The LA studio is on Pasadena Avenue in South Pasadena, where you can "grab a desk and look out at the San Gabriel mountains" and bring your dog. The New York studio sits "23 floors above the hustle and bustle of Manhattan" on Lexington Avenue, and the UK studio is in Bristol, "where the music flows and dogs rule the day." Roles are hybrid: designers in New York are expected in the studio "at least 1-2 days / week", and the production manager comes in "when projects dictate, particularly for color proofing". A senior campaign copywriter must work East Coast hours and live on the East Coast or in the Midwest. In September 2026 the openings include an account manager, a senior design director in Los Angeles, a senior campaign copywriter, designers and a production manager, with salary ranges from $85K to $160K.

What is the Chase Design Group team like?

The team describes itself as "a vibrant team of collaborators & craftspeople" who "invest ourselves fully in every challenge". Its beliefs include "Our diverse perspectives fuel our thinking and elevate our work", "Be always a beginner" and "good ideas can come from anywhere so we keep our ears open and our minds engaged." It prizes partnership: "From top to bottom, our team approaches every challenge with partnership and mutual respect." People move between disciplines too: "Each member of the Chase team is able to perform multiple functions when required." Perks include employee events, lunches and outings.

Work-Life Balance

Chase offers Summer Fridays, listed on five of its six current postings; the account manager posting says they run "9am – 1pm". The offices also close for two weeks at the end of the year, fully paid. On top of that come ten days of vacation leave, rising with tenure, six days of sick leave a year and major federal holidays. Chase describes a "Flexible working environment", and most roles are hybrid.
