What is Carbon ThreeSixty?
Carbon ThreeSixty describes itself as "Specialists in the Design and Manufacture of Advanced Composite Structures, a turnkey provider for the design, development and manufacture of highly challenging, advanced composite structures." Its About page says it was founded in 2017 by Ed Allnutt and Will Battrick, "who have worked together for over 20 years in the global composites market." The business builds carbon fibre structures for automotive, aerospace and defence customers, including "carbon fiber rotor blades", aerostructures and "out-of-autoclave composite wheels". A 2024 company article lists seven facts about the firm, among them that it is "the largest producer of Carbon Fibre wheels in the UK", is "100% privately and UK owned and operated", and "has routinely doubled in turnover and headcount for three years running." It holds ISO 9001 certification.

Jobs are at the factory in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The Engineering Manager role is "Based in our factory in Chippenham, Wiltshire", and the Trainee Composite Technicians and Laminators posting lists "Job Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire". Production work is hands-on: trainees lay up carbon fibre into moulds and prepare parts for autoclave or oven curing, which cannot be done from home. A 2024 article describes a move to a "newly renovated bespoke prepared 44,000 sqft factory in Chippenham".
What is the Carbon ThreeSixty team like?
The careers page says it is looking for people who are "inquisitive, proactive, adaptable, accountable and good communicators", and offers "a dynamic working environment". The trainee posting says "We believe in promoting from within; as your skills grow, so will your opportunities", with "Full Training" to become "a certified Composites Technician". Company news mentions a work-experience partnership with a local school, an industrial placement, and 2026 attendance at the University of Bath and Wiltshire College careers fairs, alongside "the mentorship programs we've established".
Work-Life Balance
The headline benefit is "a 9-day working fortnight (every other Friday off)". The company's May 2023 announcement of the trial describes it plainly: staff "work extended hours over nine days per fortnight, with the option of taking every other Friday off", so this is a compressed schedule rather than a cut in total hours. The announcement said the trial would run for an initial three months and that "manufacturing output will not be adversely affected". The 2024 company facts and a 2026 careers article both say the company still operates or offers it. None of these pages states how many hours each day is, and the careers page does not state holiday entitlement or pension, so ask at interview.
