About Byld

What is Byld?

Byld is Spain's first corporate venture builder — "Byld, Spain's first corporate venture builder, creates businesses alongside major corporations." Founded in 2017 and based in Madrid, it designs, validates and launches new ventures together with large companies, using their existing assets to de-risk the build: "leveraging a company's key assets (customers, distribution, know-how, intellectual property, resources, etc.) in the new venture, reducing risk and increasing the chances of success."

Byld has been doing this for more than a decade ("nuestro equipo lleva haciéndolo más de 10 años") and has partnered with companies including Unicef, Sanitas, Caser, Telefónica and Porsche. Its portfolio spans multiple industries — an urban-mobility venture with Porsche (launched 2018, since a partial exit), a multi-vertical renting platform, a venture rethinking access to housing, and a data-driven personalised-nutrition business, among others. Alongside venture building, Byld offers innovation strategy and corporate venture capital.

Where will I work?

Byld is Madrid-based and operates a hybrid work policy ("Hybrid work policy" / "Política de trabajo híbrido"); its careers site also lists offices in Barcelona and Donostia-San Sebastián, and roles are advertised as hybrid. Many openings are leadership roles within its venture portfolio — for example CEO positions for the startups it is building — reflecting a model where Byld co-founds and staffs new companies rather than only advising: it operates "as long-term partners, not as consultants," co-creating outcomes and aligning incentives from day one.

What is the Byld team like?

Byld is "a multicultural team of entrepreneurs, designers, engineers, and business experts, driven by our passion for innovation and corporate venture building." It is led by founder and CEO Adrián Heredia, alongside partners José María Aguirre (Executive Chairman), Javier Marín (Growth & Business Development), Julia de Pedro (Building & Strategy) and Ignacio Iglesias (Senior Advisor). Six values shape how the team works: "We are 'givers'", "We are trustworthy", "We always deliver", "We are down-to-earth", "We take risks" and "We rock as a band." Byld invests in growth through "a hard and soft skills development plan for all of our employees."

Work-Life Balance

Byld works a four-day week with every Friday off — "4 days working week (no Fridays)" / "4 días de trabajo (¡no viernes!)." It is structured as a compressed four-day week at full pay, giving the whole team a three-day weekend, combined with the company's hybrid work policy.
