About Britebound
What is Britebound?
Britebound is a national nonprofit "at the forefront of changing the way young people learn about careers". Until January 2026 it was American Student Assistance (ASA), and it says it has "a legacy of more than 60 years of working directly with students". Its mission is "to inspire young people to explore their passions, experiment with potential careers, and navigate a path to a meaningful and rewarding future", starting in middle school. It builds free digital tools for grades 6 to 12: GoZig, the gamified career explorer Futurescape, and Future Network, a video series in which Gen Z learns about careers from professionals. Britebound says these tools reach more than 15 million young people each year. It also funds the field: its Strategic Impact Fund has made $118 million in impact investments over four years, it has awarded $54 million in grants since 2021, and its subsidiaries include TeenVoice, Education at Work and the STEM edtech company Lab4U.
Where will I work?
Britebound's headquarters is at 33 Arch Street in downtown Boston, and every open role is based there on a hybrid schedule: "Britebound works in a Hybrid schedule (2) two days a week in our Boston HQ." The office "offers a fully stocked kitchen and weekly catered meals". In September 2026 it was hiring a research analyst, a senior accountant, a communications manager, a short-term UX designer and a managing director for its middle-school career exploration hub. The final interview round includes an on-site visit to the Boston office.
What is the Britebound team like?
The team page lists about 100 people, led by President and CEO Julie Lammers, across technology, digital platforms, marketing, research, impact investing, philanthropy, advocacy and finance. The values are Belonging, Courage, Innovation and Growth, and Britebound looks for "Strategic Thinkers", "Doers", "Resourceful Minds", "Tech Enthusiasts" and "Collaborators", building everything "with young people, for young people". Robin Gilbert, VP of People and Culture, says "the culture here fosters growth, creativity, and the sharing of ideas". Britebound publishes salary ranges on its postings (for example $94,900–$118,000 for a senior accountant) and says it "is committed to fair and transparent pay".
Work-Life Balance
Every posting promises all full-time team members "Summer Fridays (every Friday off between Memorial Day and Labor Day), and a company holiday break between December 25th and January 1st". The careers page adds vacation, sick and personal time and "a dozen paid holidays". Britebound says it values "people who embrace a healthy balance between focusing on and producing great work while also living their best lives". Outside the summer it works a standard five-day week, three days of it from home.
