About Barti
What is Barti?
Barti builds the modern operating system for eye-care practices: an all-in-one, cloud-native EHR and practice-management platform for optometrists — scheduling, charting, billing, revenue-cycle management, patient communication and payments in one place, replacing the decade-old desktop software most practices still run. Backed by ~$16.5M through Series A and growing quickly through independent practices and groups across the US, Barti is a software vendor: the people it hires build and sell the platform, and its board carries no clinical roles. The vertical matters: optometry practices juggle exams, retail (frames and lenses) and insurance billing in one visit, which is why an integrated platform beats stitched-together generic tools — and why Barti's RCM operations hires sit beside its engineers rather than in a silo.
Where will I work?
Anywhere in the US: the adverts say it verbatim — "Work remotely from anywhere in the U.S." — and every current posting is a remote United States role. San Francisco is the company base, not a desk requirement.
What is the Barti team like?
Around 50 people across product, engineering, growth marketing and revenue-cycle operations — a focused vertical-SaaS team at the stage where every hire owns a whole surface. An honest note: Barti is young enough to have no review-site footprint (we checked — the similarly named entities belong to other companies), so we can't report a work-life-balance rating; its published policies below and salary-transparent adverts are what we verified. Reviews of the product itself (the software) run strong on optometry forums, and the company competes by shipping weekly against incumbents that update annually — a cadence its remote engineering team is structured around.
Work-Life Balance
"Unlimited PTO" appears verbatim in three of four current adverts across three different functions — the standard benefits block for its corporate roles — inside a work-from-anywhere-in-the-US setup.

- "Work remotely from anywhere in the U.S."
- "Health, vision, and dental benefits" (a vision benefit from an eye-care company, fittingly)

- "Annual professional development stipend"
- Published salary ranges on adverts (e.g. $140-160K for Product Manager)
